| Abstract: | ผู้ประพันธ์ได้ประพันธ์เพลงคอนแชร์โตมหาราชาเพื่อร่วมเฉลิมพระเกียรติพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวภูมิพลอดุลยเดช ในโอกาสพระราชพิธีมหามงคลเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา 6 รอบ บทเพลงนี้ได้นำส่วนของบทเพลงไทยพื้นบ้านจากทั้ง 4 ภาค มาผสมผสานเข้ากับทำนองของผู้ประพันธ์ แนวทำนองทั้งหมดนี้ได้มีการแปรรูป ยักย้าย และจัดระบบ เพื่อเข้ากับกระแสดนตรีในรูปแบบใหม่ ชื่อเพลงมีความหมายถึง “พระมหากษัตริย์ซึ่งพระบารมีของพระองค์ได้แผ่ไพศาลไปทั่วราชอาณาจักร” คอนแชร์โตมหาราชาประกอบด้วยลีลาการบรรเลง 2 กระบวนต่อกัน ผู้ประพันธ์เพลงปรารถนาอย่างยิ่งที่จะให้บทเพลงคอนแชร์โตมหาราชาแสดงศักยภาพของการเดี่ยวระนาดเอกร่วมกับวงออเคสตร้าแบบตะวันตก และแสดงให้เห็นถึงความเป็นไปได้ที่จะผสมผสานวัฒนธรรมดนตรีไทยกับดนตรีตะวันตก ผู้ประพันธ์เชื่อว่าดนตรีจะต้องมีการพัฒนาไปตามกระแสโลกาภิวัฒน์ การยอมรับในระดับนานาชาติจึงเป็นเรื่องจำเป็น เพื่อที่ประเทศไทยและดนตรีไทยจะมีบทบาทในเวทีทางวัฒนธรรมของโลก |
| Other Abstract: | Concerto Maharaja was composed to join the Celebrations on the Auspicious Occasion of the His Majesty the King’s 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary. The composition employs motives, tunes, and flavors of Thai from four main regions of Thailand as well as the composer’s own music materials. The melodies are transformed, manipulated, and later reorganized into a new context. The title of this concerto refers to “the Great and Beloved King whose prestige spreads over the Kingdom.” Concerto Maharaja consists of two connected movements. The composer wishes that the Concerto Maharaja will mark good signs of amalgamation among different cultures, and present the value of Thai music into an international music scene. |
