Abstract:	ในปัจจุบันมีความเข้าใจอย่างกว้างขวางว่า ในการอนุรักษ์สถาปัตยกรรมจำเป็นต้องเข้าใจสภาพแวดล้อมโดยรอบแหล่งมรดกวัฒนธรรม (setting) มากกว่าการพิจารณาตัวอาคารแต่เพียงอย่างเดียว อีกทั้งโครงสร้างมรดกวัฒนธรรมประกอบจากพื้นที่ที่มีความหลากหลายและมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างเป็นพลวัต รวมถึงความสัมพันธ์ของสภาพแวดล้อมโดยรอบแหล่งมรดกวัฒนธรรม สิ่งต่าง ๆ เหล่านี้ สามารถเป็นที่มาของการตระหนักถึงคุณค่าของเรื่องราวที่เกิดขึ้นบนสภาพแวดล้อม เพื่อการนำเสนอ (presentation) และการสื่อความหมาย (interpretation) ของพื้นที่แหล่งมรดกวัฒนธรรมได้ โดยวัดแม่พระลูกประคำ (กาลหว่าร์) ถือเป็นกรณีศึกษาที่สำคัญในเรื่องการศึกษาสภาพแวดล้อม เนื่องจากเป็นพื้นที่ที่มีการตั้งถิ่นฐานของผู้คนมายาวนานกว่า 250 ปี ประกอบกับบันทึกและเอกสารต่าง ๆ ที่ค้นพบ ช่วยให้เข้าใจสภาพแวดล้อมโดยรอบของพื้นที่ได้อย่างดี การวิจัยนี้เป็นการศึกษาและวิเคราะห์หลักฐานชั้นต้นต่าง ๆ ของวัดแม่พระลูกประคำ (กาลหว่าร์) อันประกอบด้วย แผนที่เก่า ภาพถ่ายในอดีต เรื่องราวของผู้คนที่มีการบันทึกไว้ และงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง ผู้วิจัยนำหลักฐานเหล่านี้มาใช้ในการวิเคราะห์สภาพแวดล้อมโดยรอบวัดแม่พระลูกประคำ (กาลหว่าร์) เพื่อนำเสนอเรื่องราวที่มีคุณค่าของสภาพแวดล้อม และปัจจัยที่ส่งเสริมให้เกิดคุณค่าของสภาพแวดล้อมที่เคยดำรงอยู่ในอดีต มาใช้ในการนำเสนอและการสื่อความหมาย จากการศึกษา ผู้วิจัยค้นพบว่าวัดแม่พระลูกประคำ (กาลหว่าร์) มีเรื่องราวที่มีคุณค่าและควรได้รับการสื่อความหมายที่จะช่วยให้เข้าใจถึงสภาพแวดล้อมวัดแม่พระลูกประคำ (กาลหว่าร์) ตลอดเวลากว่า 250 ปี ได้อย่างดีจำนวน 5 เรื่องอันประกอบด้วย บ้านสำโรง ค่ายแม่พระลูกประคำ Notre Dame du Rosaire บุ่งกุ่ยและกุหลาบ และ กาลหว่าร์และวัดสาขา สภาพแวดล้อมเกิดขึ้นจากองค์ประกอบต่าง ๆ ทั้งที่มองเห็นได้และมองเห็นไม่ได้ ซึ่งมีความสัมพันธ์กันเกิดเป็นสภาพแวดล้อมขึ้นโดยมีอาคารโบสถ์วัดแม่พระลูกประคำ (กาลหว่าร์) เป็นอนุสรณ์สถานที่บอกเล่าเรื่องราวความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างผู้คนที่ดำรงอยู่ในสภาพแวดล้อมได้อย่างสมบูรณ์ และส่วนท้ายงานวิจัย ผู้วิจัยเสนอแนวทางในการนำเสนอและสื่อความหมายสภาพแวดล้อมออกเป็น 2 ด้าน คือ ด้านกายภาพ และด้านสังคม และข้อพิจารณาแนวทางในการสื่อความหมายผ่านแก่นเรือง ซึ่งจะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อการตระหนักถึงคุณค่าของประวัติศาสตร์และสภาพแวดล้อมโดยรอบวัดแม่พระลูกประคำ (กาลหว่าร์) ต่อไปในอนาคต
Other Abstract:	In the present days, it is widely understand that the conservation of architecture needs to understand the setting more than only architecture, a structure of cultural heritage site consisted of area with the diversity and dynamic of setting and the relationship with the setting. These could be a cause of realization to the value of story occurred on the setting for presentation and interpretation of the site. A case study of Holy Rosary Church, Bangkok is an important case for learning the setting because its setting has been a settlement of a lot of people for more than 250 years. With the documents discovered in this research contributed us to understand of the setting. This research aimed to study and analyze previous researches and elementary evidences including documents, letters, maps, photos, stories and the studies which were analyzed the setting for proposition the valuable stories of the setting and the factors that enhanced the valuable setting in the history for using in the presentation and interpretation of principle of setting of Holy Rosary Church. From the case study, the researcher found out that Holy Rosary Church had 5 particular stories that were conductive to understand the 250 years history of the setting. The setting itself combined with visible and invisible elements that had the Notre Dame du Rosaire as a monumental building in the site. This building perfectly told the story of the relationship among people being in the setting. In conclusion this research proposed the considerations of presentation and interpretation theme that consisted of two fields, these were physical and social, which contributed to understand the history and setting of Holy Rosary Church in the future.
